18.00 till late -

Collaborators Holly-Anne Buck & Adam Milburn present a piece of Sonic and Visual Collagism in ALIENESE 24 HOUR. The pair began collaborating whilst living in Tokyo in 2002 with their audio visual project Mink Engine. Together their multi-disciplinary work has been shown widely around the world. As artists and producers their work explores the relationship between sound and pictures.

ALIENESE 24 HOUR is a new video work that explores the internet of you, me, them and whatever is now, summed up perfectly in a quote by sampling artist Girl Talk ’We’re all the same dude, dude”. ALIENESE 24 HOUR is audio visual Collagism, a new language that describes now.

Opening March 12th, all-girl collective HYSTERIA (Collagism, Aida Wilde and Shuby) come together – alongside Jeffrey Disaster – at the legendary gallery/ patisserie, Maison Bertaux, for a special exhibition of mayhem and delight.

HYSTERIA’s sui generis take on popular culture promises to be a feast for the eyes. Be prepared for scoops of sumptuous Technicolor ‘one-off’ artworks, with their trademark eggs, legs, bananas, bunnies and bold iconography.

The UK-based collective will be bringing their collage, screen-print and installation talents together, to present an exhibition featuring HYSTERIA’s latest joint-panel works, collages and prints.

This new body of work explores the relationship between food, sex, gender and symbolism. Their interpretation of celebrity subversion devours pop-culture, serving it up in as explosive dish of delectable proportions.

Disaster will be displaying his unique and tantalising paintings, montages and installations. These works will be juxtaposed alongside Victorian ephemera, sheet music, flowers and found objects, shrouded with his dynamic brush-strokes and painting technique.

This two-floor exhibition promises riotous visual misconduct and infamous bad behaviour, using mainstream, historical and religious imagery. And all to be enjoyed with the sumptuous Maison Bertaux’s legendary tea and cakes.

A series of workshops with the artists, as well as a very special High Tea with HYSTERIA, will provide a rare insight into their collaborative workings. Not to be missed.
